Requirement 1: Get Certified
To earn an IC³ Authorized Instructor certificate for either the Global Standard 3 (GS3) or 2005 Standard, you must take and pass the corresponding certification exams:

IC³ Global Standard 3 Exams:
- Computer Fundamentals
- Key Applications
- Living Online

IC³ 2005 Standard Exams:
- Computer Fundamentals
- Key Applications
- Living Online

Requirement 2: Instructional Experience
Any one of the following credentials will satisfy the instructional experience requirement for the IC³ Authorized Instructor (GS3 or 2005 Standard) certificate:
- A copy of your teaching certificate or post-graduate degree.
- A copy of your certificate from an accredited instructor program, such as the Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor program or a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) program.
- A copy of your certificate from an accredited instructor training program such as the New Horizons Train-the-Trainer program.
- A written letter (on company letterhead) from a current or past employer or supervisor, verifying that you have had at least two years of teaching experience.
Requirement 3: Application Process
- Complete the IC³ Authorized Instructor application for either the GS3 or 2005 Standard
- E-mail or fax your proof of instructional experience or teaching credentials to:

- Submit the application fee of $75 USD per the instructions that will be emailed to you once your teaching credentials have been verified. Payment may also be mailed to Certiport at the following address:
